A Message From Betsy

As we continue to adjust to new protocols and routines while confronting the realities of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Winter Park Chamber is putting its full resources behind helping our members and community stay informed and prepared.

We also want to share how your customers can best do business with you during these difficult times. Helping to keep you as whole as possible for the next few weeks and months is mission critical for us.

Our plan is to share a Daily Briefing with relevant national, state and local updates from a number of sources as well as original content and to also share member updates that we will rely on you to provide through this link. More on that below. We will also provide social media updates throughout the day.

Please be aware that the Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program is active for small business owners affected by COVID-19. I would encourage those eligible to start the process sooner rather than later – this could be just the relief that makes a huge difference for your company.

I would also recommend that you fill out The Business Damage Assessment Survey. According to Visit Florida, the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity is soliciting the surveys of businesses that have been impacted by COVID-19. Keep in mind that filling out this assessment is not the same as filing for a loan.

Please heed all of the advice from medical experts to limit social contact, work from home, wash your hands frequently and more. You can access the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and John Hopkins University website for reliable information.

Thank you and take care,

Betsy Gardner Eckbert
President and CEO of the Winter Park Chamber
