Some local programs available to assist you with housing rehabilitation finance (no interest, deferred loans!), home repair (free labor and materials!) and income tax preparation (free tax services from UWGB accounting students!)
Brown County Housing Rehabilitation loan program: This is a no interest, deferred payment loan to low and moderate- income owner-occupied homes. Examples of projects eligible for the program include electrical, plumbing, lead paint removal, asbesto
s removal, roof replacement, etc.

Volunteers perform home repair projects for elderly, low-income, and disabled families. Each home repair project will be done by 5 young people with at lease one adult leader. Eligible projects include porch repair/construction, weatherization, stair repair, wheelchair ramp repair/construction, exterior and interior painting, landscaping, and mobile home skirting. Labor and materials are free to qualifying households. Deadline for application is March 29. The work will be completed June 14-19, 2020. Application is here:

Free income tax return preparation assistance: Accounting students at UWGB offer free tax return preparation assistance to low income, elderly, and students. Call 920-465-2575 to schedule an appointment.
