Dear Friends of The Inn at Serenbe,

Over the years in our hospitality experience, we have become very familiar with the cycle of economic challenges that threaten the normal rhythm of business. Yet the tsunami-like speed, breadth and depth of this latest global Covid-19 virus is like nothing else we have ever experienced.

Throughout the Inn and the entire Serenbe community, the health and wellbeing of our guests and our team are our top priority and I want to reassure you of the diligence of our approach. We are personally committed to uphold the following strategy and initiatives.

We are closely monitoring the daily changing Government guidelines and following their instructions accordingly. Although there have been no confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the communities we serve, we would like to assure you that our team is committed to maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness including sanitation and disinfection.

The Inn at Serenbe and The Farmhouse restaurant have always exceeded Georgia Department of Health standards, of which we are proud. We are committed to employee awareness and training and all hotel staff including guest services, housekeeping and restaurant teams are receiving regular communication focused on best practices for cleanliness and sanitation. There is also a heightened vigilance for frequent and ongoing sanitation throughout all areas of guest contact, including gathering places, meeting rooms, our restaurant, bar, and of course our guest rooms.

Here's what we are doing to ensure we can protect you as much as possible:

  • If you are not feeling great we ask you to postpone your visit with us until you’re feeling better.

  • We will always extend a warm welcome to arriving guests, but for the time being this welcome won’t be accompanied by a handshake or any other physical contact.

  • We ask for your help in washing your hands thoroughly as often as possible. Every single member of our team has committed to wash hands thoroughly every 2 hours.

  • We are cleaning and sanitizing all touched surfaces i.e. door handles, bathrooms, etc. every 2 hours.

  • In The Farmhouse and our restaurants at Serenbe we are reducing the density of tables with immediate effect, so there is greater distance between you and your neighbors, and we are following the CDC guidelines of no more than 50 people allowed at a time. We will also be providing take out and delivery options from several of our restaurants.

  • We are taking the temperature of every employee before entering the building and starting work.

  • We will continue to monitor their health closely. Any team member that presents symptoms, however mild, will not be entering the Inn for 14 days.

  • Team members will observe the 6-foot distance rule from guests and colleagues as much as possible, as recommended by the government

We will continue to review and monitor our approach and will adjust our training and communication to the recommendations and advice of the CDC and other relevant public agencies. For the latest information on COVID-19, visit www.cdc.gov/Coronavirus.

We look forward to seeing you soon and always welcome your feedback.
