A letter to Miss Mary's community and Coronavirus
The Coronavirus has now reached pandemic levels and is affecting people and economies globally. Coronavirus is not simply a common cold and should be treated with great care and caution. We must take appropriate precautions to protect ourselves, our families, our colleagues and communities.
I monitor updates on a daily basis from the Australian Government Health Department & the World Health Organisation.
In line with current Government advice, Miss Mary Sewing Classes are open for business. We operate in small groups (no more than 8) and together can be vigilant in monitoring our own health and the health of those around us.
I have increased our deep cleaning including keeping surfaces disinfected and have reduced class numbers (4 - 6 people) to enable social distancing between sewists.
Kids Classes are being scheduled for the school holidays at this stage. Classes will be limited to 5 students. I'm also working on something different in the background!
If you have been in contact with anyone who has recently been overseas, are experiencing any flu or cold like symptoms, please contact me to rearrange your class. Likewise I will cancel classes should I experience any symptoms.
At my classes I have plenty of hand wash (and toilet paper!) and I will ensure all practice good hygiene. I look forward to seeing you during this challenging time to enjoy our craft, conversation, tea and biscuits!
