I imagine your inbox has been full of "I'm sorry" emails from your favorite businesses, schools and governmental institutions explaining how they have to close. And now I regret to add this note from City Lights.
In accordance with announcements and recommendations coming from State and Federal officials, we will suspend operations as of March 17 until further notice.
Our primary aim: protect the health of our staff and our patrons. We now move to phase two: manage our resources wisely so we can survive this suspension and keep our staff who you know and love. To that end, we'll be working on some deep cleaning and maintenance of the theatres for the next week as we assess our options moving forward.
For now, we want you to know the following: Susan and I love our City Lights family, we love you--our members and patrons, and we want you to stay safe, be well, and look forward to our return. We'll keep you posted along the way.
