A lot has happened in a week...
Dear Central West End Association members, CWE residents and valued patrons,

Due to the ever-changing coronavirus situation and the newly enforced restrictions on events over 50 people The Central West End Association will be cancelling our April First Friday Happy Hour at Metropolitan Flats, our May First Friday Happy Hour, and our 2020 CWE Home & Garden Tour (June 5-7) to allow our staff and volunteers the ability to practice responsible social distancing in this critical time.  It is our mission to keep our neighbors and the neighborhood safe and informed during this rapidly changing time in the world.

We will continue to send our weekly email blast with news and updates regarding CWE events. Please continue checking our website, thecwe.org, for updates on rescheduled events. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to continue learning more about the progress and policies put in place in the CWE and in the surrounding St. Louis metropolitan area. We will also be working hard to come up with new ways of giving our members and followers the charming CWE experience from home!

We love our neighbors, and right now many may not be able to get out without risking their health. Please check on those neighbors who are isolated or quarantined and ask what you can do to help!  Please call 314-884-1440 or email cwea@thecwe.org if we can help guide you to any helpful neighborhood resources.

The Central West End's charming vibe is thanks to our many small businesses and restaurants that line our gorgeous streets.  These businesses operate on small margins and will be deeply affected by the recommended social distancing protocols.  In addition, cities and states are beginning to mandate that all dine-in restaurants temporarily close to help contain the virus. Please consider supporting our beloved small businesses and restaurants by purchasing carry out or curbside where available or gift cards to use in the future.  Check out the CWE Scene's list of businesses that are helping you to remain safe at home.

To those many CWE residents involved in the difficult decisions at the government level and to those in the health-care industry, we salute and support you and all that you're doing to keep St. Louis safe!

We love St. Louis and we are all in this together!
#CWEstrong #STLstrong

Sending good vibes and elbow bumps,
