Easter in the Park Cancelled

Given the latest COVID-19 guidelines, and today's announcement of the shelter in place order, the Bret Harte Community Association has canceled Easter in the Park on April 11. While we're sad that this annual event can't take place this year, we're extremely heartened by all of the Bret Harte neighbors who have been reaching out via text, e-mail and on NextDoor with offers of support and assistance to their neighbors.

We live in a very special neighborhood with many caring people. If you or anyone else needs assistance during this crisis, you can e-mail the BHCA at communications@bretharte.org. We will connect neighbors in need with neighbors who can help. Stay safe and healthy!

2020 BHCA Membership Drive

As you know, our Bret Harte Community Association (BHCA) underwrites a number of free events throughout the year that are completely volunteer-run and -organized.

Of the approximately 480 homes within Bret Harte, only about 10% are dues-paying members of the BHCA. This just barely covers the direct costs for these events. For only $25 a year, you can help us implement neighborhood-wide projects like park improvements, disaster-preparedness training, community art, and more.

Our goal this year is to add 50 household members to the BHCA. This would about double our current membership and allow us to expand our programming within the community. The Drive will last through our Easter Egg Hunt on April 11—follow our progress at 2020 BHCA Membership Drive. Will you join us?
