Reminder: March 17 BCRW Meeting Cancelled

Coronavirus is changing everyone's plans

We just wanted to send one more reminder that we are officially cancelling Tuesday's March meeting of the the Benton County Republican Women. We really hated to do that. New people walk into our meetings each month.

And because new people walk into our meetings each month, it occurred to us that maybe at least a couple of us should go to Golden Corral for lunch -- you know, just in case that new person came in.

A few of us decided to meet for lunch at 11:30 at Golden Corral in our usual meeting room Tuesday, March 17. We're pretty sure we'll be a gathering of under ten people as recommended, but we wanted to support Golden Corral and the servers who take such great care of our meeting attendees each month.

Now if you are a diehard Republican but are in compromised health, please stay home. We need your awesomeness later after this coronavirus scare is behind America. It's an election year, after all, and we have a president to re-elect.

But if you happen to be eating somewhere tomorrow anyway, please consider joining us. We'll have a time of fellowship and talking about things Republicans talk about.

Wherever you go for lunch, please remember to tip your servers a little more generously than usual. This coronavirus scare is impacting their finances.

Runoffs in Districts 90 & 91

Early voting for the March 31 runoff election begins on March 24

If you live in State House District 91 (runoff candidates Delia Haak and Scott Richardson) or District 90 (runoff candidates State Representative Jana Della Rosa and Kendon Underwood), you have a runoff to vote in.

The runoff election day is March 31. Early voting begins on March 24 at the Benton County Clerk's office locations. Things are changing each day as the county works to reduce our chances of a coronavirus outbreak. We'll try to keep you posted as we learn more.

Now is the time to check into getting an absentee ballot. Click here for the instructions for getting yours.

These candidates have worked diligently. Please take the time to go to the polls in the runoff.

The candidates have been asked not to canvass in the event that the virus could be spread via their push cards. Being asked to halt their campaign activities makes it so difficult to get voters back out to the polls. Step up and remind your friends who live in their districts to vote in the runoff.
