COVID-19: 03/16/2020
SAA Update from the Executive Director
Temporarily Closing March 17 - May 1, 2020
Dear Friends and Supporters of the Arts,
Salem Art Association has been carefully watching the health risks posed by COVID-19, and we are closely monitoring guidance from the Centers for Disease Control, the World Health Organization and the Oregon Health Authority. In order to protect the health and safety of our visitors, members, and employees, we implemented additional measures to clean and sanitize this facility and frequently touched areas such as door handles and surfaces.
However the situation is escalating day by day and the risks are now too high. We regret that we are now going to have to close the Bush Barn Art Center and Annex until May 1st, at which time we will reevaluate.
Salem Art Association is here to build a community through the arts and this is something we bequeath to the future. The organization has just celebrated 100 years of service and we expect it to be here another 100 years from now. But during this time of uncertainty and isolation, please keep in touch through email, social media, phone, and the internet. Leaning on our connections with each other, is what will bring us through these unprecedented times.
So stay safe, stay healthy and especially stay connected as we navigate this increasingly complex and escalating situation.
Sandra Burnett
