A Note from the Gibsons & District Chamber of
Commerce Executive Director:
With the world situation over Covid-19 and the impact that we are feeling here on the Sunshine Coast, the planned Annual General Meeting for Gibsons & District Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, March 24th will now be cancelled and rescheduled at a future date when appropriate.
The Gibsons & District Chamber of Commerce will also be cancelling / rescheduling - at a future date - all gatherings and meetings that support Workshops, Networking Events, and Member celebrations.
We will however continue to support our business community with current news, support information and updates through our Chamber News, on our web site, and through direct email contact. For any questions or concerns please reach out directly to us with a call at 604 886-2325 or an email at exec@gibsonschamber.com
We will continue to conduct as much business as possible via a Virtual process (although face to face is still available one on one... no sniffles allowed!)
More news to come shortly in regards to how we will hold the elections virtually of our 2021 Board of Directors for those requiring re-election and the new nominations received from candidates who wish to contribute to the exciting opportunities (and challenges) that the Gibsons & District Chamber of Commerce has ahead of us on behalf of the business community.
We continue to support you and promote coastal prosperity.

Patrick Weiler offers support to the Gibsons & District Chamber
In a letter to the Gibsons & District Chamber of Commerce, Patrick Weiler states, "I know COVID-19 will hit our businesses and local communities particularly hard, so I would like to share with you the Government’s one stop shop for businesses to understand how the federal government can provide assistance.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to my office with any questions you are getting. My team is ready to help. I can often get some answers quicker than people can get from any federal government agency, which is key right now as many people are scrambling to get home.
Our office number is 604-913-2660, and people can reach me at Patrick.weiler@parl.gc.ca."
