Anyone blabbing at me about how our library needs to be “a beacon in the darkness” should come work the front desk with us or maybe just stop talking.
Also, I was in two airports today so heads up to anyone coming in that has health problems.

Dave's Corner 💭
Of course the situation of the world sucks right now. If I think about it too much, I get pretty upset. So, I'm trying to only read the news/social media a couple times a day. I'm doing this in an effort to keep myself productive. If at the end of the weeks/months of quarantine I don't feel like I accomplished anything then the virus will have taken yet another thing away from me.

- Parking on lawns or yards
This rental property continues to violate the parking on lawns code. Last summer, turf was torn up and replace with blacktop. Does this require a permit from the city? If so, I never saw a permit in the windows. Even with more parking created by this (illegal?) paving, the renters outgrow the space as you can see by the picture.

Random Burlingtonian Quote of the Day 📝
A revelation, that may be supposed to be really of the institution of God, must also be supposed to be perfectly consistent or uniform, and to be able to stand the test of truth; therefore such pretended revelations, as are tendered to us as the contrivance of heaven, which do not bear that test, we may be morally certain, was either originally a deception, or has since, by adulteration become spurious. Reason therefore must be the standard by which we determine the respective claims of revelation; for otherwise we may as well subscribe to the divinity of the one as of the other, or to the whole of them, or to none at all.
