Above: New times call for heightened vigilance. All RVNAhealth employees, patients and visitors are having temperatures monitored daily; As always, the RVNAhealth building, including the Rehabilitation & Wellness Center, is cleaned and disinfected with hospital-grade cleansers regularly and repeatedly .. and regularly ... and repeatedly.

Ongoing Reminders and News

In a word, this time is odd. For the simple reason that life as we typically know it has changed abruptly and our daily patterns, habits, pastimes, concerns even, are on hold. They have been replaced by others.

For many, these days are affording a surplus of time... a precious commodity that is often in shortage. For others, the opposite. The RVNAhealth team, for example, is serving an increasing number of patients and community members who are safest receiving ongoing health care in their homes, helping them recover and heal while staying out of emergency rooms, urgent care facilities, hospitals.

RVNAhealth is very much on active duty.

  • The RVNAhealth building remains open for business (M- F, 8:30am - 4:30pm) for ongoing patients and critical needs, with expanded cleaning practices and required screenings for all patients. Visitors are encouraged to call in advance. 203-438-5555.
  • Temperature screenings: All RVNAhealth staff, patients and visitors are being monitored daily for fever (defined by the CDC as 100.4) to ensure the ongoing health of our team and community.  We recommend you do this as well.
  • RVNAhealth in-home services including skilled nursing, rehabilitative therapies, home health aides; hospice care; and non-medical caregivers are all available and ready to serve. All have extensive and repeated training in infection control measures and best health practices.
  • The Rehabilitation & Wellness Center remains open with staggered patient scheduling to respect social distancing protocols and best practices, while allowing patients to adhere to their plans of care.
  • The RVNAhealth Food Pantry -- which serves our homebound patients in need of food or supplies -- appreciates donations and contributions, particularly at this time. Please visit our Amazon Smile Wish List to make a donation, or call us at 203-438-5555.
  • The RVNAhealth Spring Breakfast originally scheduled for Friday, April 24, is being postponed until Friday, June 12.
  • The RVNAhealth Wellness Fair, scheduled for Saturday, April 25 at East Ridge Middle School in Ridgefield, has been cancelled. Further details will follow regarding replacement event(s).
  • RVNAhealth April Blood Pressure Clinics are cancelled.
  • As always, we welcome you to contact us at 203-438-5555 with any questions or concerns.

And for all of us, we have a new and important job.  To each do our best to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 to others. "Every individual must understand the importance of their role in stalling this virus," says RVNAhealth Chief Clinical Officer, Keri Linardi, RN, BSN, PHN, CHPCA.  "We must all take social distancing and handwashing -- seemingly small requests -- very seriously. If everybody observes these behaviors, it can make a profound difference in the trajectory of COVID-19."
