A NOTE FROM OUR PRESIDENT & CEO
Dear Chamber Investors:
These are challenging times for everyone. The COVID-19 pandemic requires extraordinary measures. I write you today to provide an update as to our direction as the Catalyst for business success, Convener of leaders and influencers, and Champion for our thriving community.
Effective immediately, all Chamber Board, Council, and Committee meetings, Leads Group meetings, trainings and seminars, and all other programs and events are postponed at least through April 30 in support of the proactive efforts brought forth by the City of Lakeland’s Emergency Order. However, the Chamber will continue to provide content valuable to your business during this time via webinars, videos, and our SHIFT Podcast.
During this time, your Chamber will continue to advocate on issues that affect our economy and provide valuable resources for your company and how our community can assist. We will continue to communicate electronically and provide you with up-to-date information.
I encourage you to visit our website and follow us on our various social media platforms (see links above) for more information which may be useful as we navigate this time together.
Thank you,
Cory Skeates
President & CEO

A BRIEF PAUSE FOR IN-PERSON PROGRAMMING
All around us, our region is taking action to minimize the spread of COVID-19. In congruence with the guidance of our local, state, and national leaders, as well as the actions of other chambers and organizations, the Lakeland Chamber will pause in-person programming through April 30, at which point we will determine next steps.
We have (or intend to) reschedule our upcoming events, including the 2020 Legislative Wrap-Up Breakfast (new date is May 14) and the 21st Annual Citizens Bank & Trust Business After Hours Luau (new date TBD). Just like you, we are taking this situation seriously and day-by-day.
Business hasn't stopped, and your Chamber hasn't either. Currently the Lakeland Chamber and Convention & Visitors Bureau is open to serve our members and visitors (individuals and groups of 10 or less) during this challenging time. If you would prefer not coming in, give us a call at (863) 688-8551 or email us instead.
All registrations and payments for upcoming events will be moved to the rescheduled dates. However, anyone in need of a refund should email the Chamber by clicking here.
