Coronavirus: what precautions are we taking?
The Little Cat Cafe
Sorry for the mistake. In the last newsletter we said the cafe was only accepting cash – we meant card. We've gone cashless to stop notes and coins spreading germs. For the same reason, we're serving all our beverages in compostable takeaway cups. Let's look out for each other by not getting too close. Two metres apart is a good rule of thumb.
The park toilets
Lambeth Council has closed the park toilets during this uncertain period of time. The council doesn't have the resources to sanitise all its facilities. It is taking this action to reduce the risk of transfer of Covid-19 to any users and staff. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes.
Volunteering at Myatt's
We're sorry to be cancelling all volunteering until further notice. That includes Food Heroes and Friday Gardening Club in the greenhouse. We know how much these events mean to people and we aim to get them back up and running asap. In the meantime, working alone, our staff will look after park gardening.
Can you help the park with a donation?
LEAP services and events
Lambeth Early Action Partnership is cancelling events – prioritising the health of local families and staff. This includes its 5th Birthday Party planned for Friday 27 March. Please check with the service provider before attending any LEAP session or group. For the latest news, follow LEAP on Facebook and regularly check its Events Calendar.
The Mulberry Centre
Stay and Play sessions for under 5s and under 2s have been cancelled until further notice. Please keep checking our events page for new updates. Contact the Mulberry Preschool before attending any session. Please don't bring your child if they – or someone they've had contact with – has a cough, fever or cold-like symptoms.
Lambeth Tigers Football Club
All training has been cancelled until Saturday 4 April. This mirrors the suspension of elite football, like the Premier League, in England. The Tigers will reassess the situation at the start of April. Please check for updates on its Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages.

Coronavirus – let's look out for each other
We can all do some very simple things to keep each other safe:
  1. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds – especially after using public transport.
  2. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in a bin. Sneeze into the bend of your arm if you can't get to a tissue.
  3. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  4. Try to stay at least 2 metres apart from other park users.
If you think you might have symptoms, please self isolate.

Some of us might be feeling more anxious at this time. Try to avoid social media speculation. You'll find good quality info on websites such as the Mental Health FoundationDiabetes UK, Asthma UK and The British Heart Foundation.
