as-salaamu alaykum.
This is something we hoped would not happen, but it's now time to close the doors.
"Pray in your homes" is not a familiar phrase to many of us.
It's a phrase that replaces "Come to prayer" in the adhan when necessary.
It is now necessary.
As of today, at 1:30 pm, we will be closing the center's doors until further notice.
Prayer, however, is not over. In fact, now is the time to increase in prayer and supplication in your homes.
We are asking everyone to turn to Allah in repentance and seek refuge with Him from the afflictions of this rapidly spreading virus.
We are also encouraging everyone, even those who appear to be healthy, to practice the recommended protocols including social distancing.
Please take this seriously. We all have to act together NOW!
