Welcome to week 3 of social distancing, more frequent handwashing, and doing what you can to stay safe through the Corona Virus pandemic.
This week, provincial health officer
Dr. Bonnie Henry shared a glimmer of hope with British Columbians, as models of the spread of the virus in BC have been cut in half, thanks to the great job you are doing, staying at home.
With only
86 new cases confirmed over the weekend (compared to more than 300 on Friday), our hospitals are equipped to handle the spread - if it continues at this rate. Staying home, and staying safe is the best thing we can do now to reduce the spread, and get out of the situation as soon as possible.
With more and more government programs announced to make sure our economy rebounds as quickly as possible, all we have to do right now is sit tight... with toddlers. And preschoolers. Asking questions... We know it's not easy...
That's why the Buddings teachers are reaching out, through our computers screens, to meet up with the kids and families!
Our new
ZOOM account makes it possible, and makes staying home safe and FUN!
This morning, Aida is inviting everyone to join her for a presentation on her Spring Things topic - Signs and Symbols - but in your home!
Bring your favourite toy, and some dancing shoes, and join her today at 10am!
Today's symbols are also available as a
download so kids can colour them in and practice recognizing them throughout the home.
Our online program will continue at 10am on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the rest of the month, and the details will keep coming at you on a weekly basis.
On Thursday this week, Sarah and our favourite reptile Gecko the gecko join us from her home - with a special guest appearance from Guinea Pig the guinea pig, live and in pig-son on the same
Zoom account link. Click it each Tuesday and Thursday at 10am to join the presentations!
How does it work? We're still learning, but it's coming together! Hopefully we'll see you there.
