Like you, we are perpetually adapting to this ever-changing global event, focusing on the health of our customers, Member-Owners, and staff while continuing to serve our wonderful community.
Here are the latest steps we are taking to serve you better:

CHANGING HOURS
As more and more people are required to work from home, we have decided to consolidate hours for the store to better reflect these changing schedules..  Beginning Wednesday, March 25th, the Co-op will be open from 10:00am – 5:30pm, Monday-SaturdayWe will close the Co-op on Sundays so that each week can have a whole day dedicated to cleaning and restocking.  We are also changing our hours so that our staff can spend more time with their families and recuperate and rest between shifts.  We do not plan on having senior-specific shopping hours at this time. This is a temporary shift in store hours for the foreseeable future, and we’ll update you when the hours revert back.
GROCERY ORDERING
If for whatever reason you are not able or do not feel comfortable to shop in person at the Co-op, we have worked out a system to take grocery orders via email.  We ask that you do not give us your list over the phone, emailing ensures that we have a record of your order and ensure the greatest level of accuracy.

We ask that you email your list to our General Manager, TJ, at management@rutlandcoop.com
Here are some guidelines to make the order process as smooth as possible:
  • Please include the best phone number to reach you, even if you have put in an order previously.
  • DO NOT include any financial information in the email, we will ask for that over the phone.  This is to keep your personal data as safe as possible.
  • When putting together your order, we hope that you understand that due to inconsistencies with some of our suppliers, we will not always have all the requested items.
  • Please list alternatives to products so that we can make the process as smooth as possible.
  • When your order is shopped and ready for payment, we will call to inform you of any substitutions or absences and will process payment over the phone.
  • When you arrive, just give us a ring at 802-773-0737 and we can bring your groceries out to your car!
This system will continue to evolve!  We are currently working on a more robust, effective, and accurate system that we hope to roll out very soon!
RECYCLED PLASTIC BAGS
For the time being, we will no longer accept recycled plastic bags to reuse for customers.  Until we are directed to do so, customers should feel free to utilize their reusable bags, and we will continue to provide unused paper bags and boxes for anyone who needs them.

We will continue to assess and adapt as conditions change, making sure we communicate those changes to you. One of our best strengths lies in our community, and we are dedicated to partnering with you to keep that community strong.
