May God be gracious to us and bless us
    and make his face to shine upon us,
that your way may be known on earth,
    your saving power among all nations.
Let the peoples praise you, O God;
    let all the peoples praise you!
Psalm 67:1-3
<<First Name>>, one of the phrases David probably gets tired of hearing is "We are blessed to be a blessing." But it really is true. This passage asks for God's blessing for a purpose—that His way would be made known on the earth, His saving power would reach all nations, and as a result, all the people would praise Him.

On this Sunday morning, let's focus our attention on this purpose for us and for our kids as we pray.
Father, we ask for your blessings on our family today. Be gracious to us, make Your face to shine upon us. But we don't ask this to keep Your blessings to ourselves. We want to draw others to You! Help _____ to notice Your blessings today and think about who he/she could tell of Your love and power. In Jesus's name, amen.
With Your Child:
Does your child have a friend who may need some encouragement today? Remind him/her what a great encourager they can be because they have been through their own tough times. Help him/her color a picture, send a text, or contact their friend in another way to be encouraging.
