Happy World Day for the End of Fishing! We had planned to conduct outreach at the National Aquarium for it but, as with so many activities, coronavirus has put the kibosh on it. However, there are plenty of other ways to celebrate the day today and every day! We hope you will, and here are some of the many ways you can (lots of resources are on the Fish Feel website).
Post a photo of a sign, artwork, tattoo or other imagery advocating for fishes and/or celebrating them;
Post a video, poem, story or article that promotes respect for fishes;
Search the news for articles about fishes/seafood and submit a letter in response;
Serve vegan seafood and share vegan seafood recipes.
Promote the event all year with a frame on your Facebook profile photo.
 
How do you love the new Fish Feel tent?! Thanks to the Albert Schweitzer Animal Welfare Fund for the grant we’d received that provided funding for it. Looking forward to when we can use it!
Other Events
We were looking forward to again participating in the Veggie Pride Parade NYC, where Fish Feel’s Howard Edelstein was an invited speaker, and the premiere, Animal Liberation Conference NYC where Fish Feel’s Mary Finelli was invited to speak. Both events have, unfortunately, been cancelled. We are still hopeful that we will be tabling and speaking at the Animal Rights 2020 National Conference and other upcoming events but it, of course, remains to be seen. We will keep you posted!
We hope you are well and keeping your spirits up during these uncertain times. Please take care and continue to be a voice for fishes and all sentient beings who need our advocacy and activism. There’s so much we can do, wherever we are!
