DLake Creates Three Things On A Thursday
Welcome to another “Three Thing Thursday”, the only newsletter that will try not to say the words “unprecedented”, “coronavirus” or “covid-19”. Instead, we will just refer to it as “Dat Rona”.

Due to the events of “Dat Rona", my monthly cadence is off. Oh, well. Worse things could be happening, as the virus could be like this!

Every edition I send you a quick curated list of a few interesting and cool things I’ve made and found on the internet to help you live your best life.

This month is focused on supporting your health/fitness/self-improvement around “Dat Rona”. Rather than talking about it, I’ll give you some sleep, rest, and recovery info that you can consume and hopefully learn from.

I wrestled with actually releasing anything since I usually try to be evergreen with my content. This whole thing is a lot to take in and it won’t be ending anytime soon. I do hope I’m wrong.

I feel that since I’m deep in the health and fitness game I should try to give help some folks out there.  I also think that there is no better time to use health and fitness as catalysts for you to live your best life than now.

“Unless you’re doing work that doesn’t require much thought, you are trading time awake at the expense of performance.”

— Gregory Belenky, Director of the Sleep and Performance Research Center at Washington State University

Beginning excerpt from my blog post:

"How do you know you’re getting enough sleep? What is affecting you from getting the optimal rest and recovery that you need to perform at your peak?

Daren tells an anecdote about his sleeping patterns through the years and what he has finally managed to decode. While Phil uncovers what you may have forgotten to check that is impacting your sleep rhythms, such as your chronotype, lifestyle, culture, thoughts, feelings and other factors that are essential for a healthy and balanced life…"
