Lutz Preparatory School NEWSFLASH V8 Issue 36, Monday, March 30, 2020
Thank you Teachers, Students, and Parents!
We did it! Our Lutz Preparatory village has made it through our first week of eLearning journey together. Is it just us or does everyone feel like this has been the longest five days of the school year? While there have been highs and lows, we hope there have been more smiles than tears. We appreciate the feedback we have received from everyone as our school strives to streamline our processes and continuously improve on the delivery of eLearning to our students.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: If you are having any difficulty with technology, understanding lessons, or if you need community resources, please reach out to your classroom teacher via email or through Edsby with any questions/concerns. If they are not able to assist they will coordinate with our support staff to assist.
First and foremost, we want to thank our TEACHERS AND SUPPORT STAFF for jumping in when the first news of potential school closures was being discussed at the beginning of March to research, plan, strategize, and learn new tools to transition from a regular classroom to a virtual one. Our incredible teachers had their virtual lesson plans in place the Friday before Spring Break (just in case any closures were announced). We are committed to ensuring that our students are provided with as much normalcy in their education as possible. The dedication and teamwork of our teachers continues to amaze us; they have stepped up to this challenge with passion, grace, creativity, and professionalism. They are the heart of our school and have so much love for our students and the art of teaching.
Secondly, we want to thank our STUDENTS for their positive and can-do attitudes as they work to understand the changes going on in the world today and this temporary new way of eLearning. Our teachers have said time and time again this past week that communicating and having those special educational moments with their students are the best part of their day.
Finally, we want to thank our PARENTS for their continued trust and partnership as we all go through these uncharted waters. Along with your own personal and professional obligations and the non-stop information being thrown at you from all directions you have assisted your children to remain dedicated to school and shown them importance of continued learning. We appreciate your grace, kindness, and trust in our teachers and staff as we all go through this transition together.
Governor Ron DeSantis has ordered all schools in Florida to be closed through April 15th, 2020 due to concerns about coronavirus. As April 15th gets closer we will update our families with any new guidance we receive from the state and the district.
As always, the #1 goal of the entire staff at Lutz Preparatory School is our students and their success. We thank you for your support and partnership towards reaching our goal. GO BOLTS!

Reminder- Edsby May Experience Slow Down This Week

Please continue to check back throughout the day and contact your teacher with any questions or concerns.
