Coronavirus update
Since we last wrote to you, there is only one thing that has been forefront of our minds - protecting ourselves, families and residents from the impact of coronavirus. We have been working with officers, charities, councillors from across parties, residents and others on this. We would like to thank all those who are working and volunteering to get us through this crisis.
Here we provide some quick updates on how to stay safe and help out. The official guidance is constantly changing - please do pay attention to updated Government advice. But for now the best thing that you can do is:
STAY AT HOME. Don't see anyone from outside your household. If you must* go out, stay 2 metres away from others. And remember to wash your hands frequently.
*The Government says that the only reasons to leave the house are for short exercise once per day, food shopping as infrequently as possible, medical needs/to help others, critical travel to work.

Do you need help?
If you should be completely self-isolating - for whatever reason (someone in household has coronavirus symptoms; age or underlying health conditions puts you at greater risk) - please do seek help from others so you can remain at home.
You can call the MVSC line above, particularly if you are struggling financially or have additional needs. Or contact us and we can put you in touch with the most appropriate charity, or with local residents keen to help through Mutual Aid groups.

That's all for now. Please do look after yourselves and others, but do so safely. For example, dropping off shopping to anyone, leave it at their door and then stand well back.
