FTL Hosts Ignore Stay-at-Home Order, Gather in Town Common
FTL's "Nobody" calls for protest event in state capitol on April 1st. This weekend multiple hosts of Free Talk Live assembled in Keene, NH's Central Square at 12:01am Saturday, just moments after the NH governor's "stay-at-home" order went into effect. While not all hosts of the show agree, several did come out to exercise their right to assemble, out of concern that government restrictions during this supposed pandemic are trampling rights.
Still on-air live all seven nights a week 7-10pm Eastern, we've been wall-to-wall Corona-coverage and our callers of course are expressing a range of beliefs about it, from total fear of infection to total disbelief of what lying politicians are claiming about it.
Personally, I'm a skeptic. This seems blown way out of proportion, probably isn't any worse than the flu, and it's pretty clearly being used by governments to destroy freedoms and throw the world into economic disaster. Sadly, most people seem to be welcoming the new restrictions being imposed upon them. When freedom is under attack, Free Talk Live's hosts will put their freedom on the line rather than just talking about it on the radio, so we risked arrest and went out in spite of the governor's "order". Though they drove by, Keene and state police
ignored our event.
FTL host
"Nobody" made the Boston Globe this week after announcing that he intends to lead a freedom-to-assemble protest at the state house in Concord on April 1st at 2pm. Critics say we're putting people in danger somehow by gathering in public. I say if someone wishes to quarantine themselves, that should be their choice, but if others wish to take a risk and live life normally, they should be allowed to do as they please.
If you'd like to discuss any of this on-air on your station, I'm always happy to appear and am available via various connection methods including POTS, Comrex Access, and Skype. FTL's Nobody is also available for interview. Please reach out via the contact information below.
