Using Your SCPL Library Card

Our virtual branch is always open 24/7 for kids and adults. If you have a library card, you can access all our databases from the Research link on the home page or go to the Kids' Page for Fun & Games and Books & Movies and special information while sheltering at home. And don't forget to check out the Download/Stream link for all our virtual links to ebooks, audiobooks, and movies.

Maximizing access to digital media for new borrowers is a strong priority for the Santa Cruz Public Libraries.
-New patrons registering online can now immediately begin to sign up with our digital vendors and check out materials using their automatically generated PACREG barcode. Get more information on our homepage about our new E-access card. Register online and then use your new card. You don't have to come into the library to get a card, but you should help kids under 13 to fill out the online form.

 

Things to Look for with Your Library Card 
 
For Homework Help - Brainfuse HelpNow (to make your account) or go directly to 
Brainfuse if you already have an account. Offering free academic help at all levels, Brainfuse has live online tutoring in elementary, middle school, high school, college, and adult education. SAT, ACT, GED, and Citizenship test help is also available. Writing a paper? Send your paper to a tutor and receive a response within 24 hours. Job seekers can also get resume and job finding assistance in the Adult Learning Center. Maestros en español disponible.
You'll need your libraray card number and PIN to log in.

For Stories - Check out the Books and Movies link on our Kids' Page. Sign in using your library card number and PIN to the Tumble Book Library for storybooks, e-books and read-alongs. You will also need your library card and PIN to sign in to Kanopy. When you are signed in go to Kanopy Kids for unlimited views of children's movies and books. You don't have to sign in to BookFlix for fun interactive books and games in both fiction and non-fiction.
