Restoring Hope, Even Today

Just last week our coach, Debrah Anne, got a call from her daughter in another province.

Debrah Anne's granddaughter had been struggling with reading. Now that the schools were closed, she was struggling more than ever.  Would Debrah Anne consider reading with her granddaughter over video call every night?

We think you know the end of this story...
Many happy hours have now been spent in cross-provincial calls and the stack of books on each end of the phone have grown as grandmother and granddaughter take turns reading to each other.

Our counsellors tell our clients that looking for small things that bring joy, small rays of light in the midst of darkness is a healthy way of coping with something overwhelming. It gives you a new point of view and gives you the strength to keep on persevering in the face of a crisis.

Just like everyone else, Eagles Nest has been challenged by our rapidly changing world. Where do we find hope in the midst of self isolation, social distancing and quarantines?

We think hope might be found in the ordinary and everyday; something as simple as a grandmother reading to her granddaughter every night.

What does hope look like to you these days?

Help Us Continue to Provide Hope

With the closing of Rescued & Restored on March 16, 2020 in response to COVID-19, Eagles Nest lost one of its main sources of funding.  We have taken every measure possible to cut operational and staff costs, but it will not be enough. We cannot get through this crisis without help from you.

The Eagles Nest team continues to be committed to work remotely with our clients and others who are experiencing unhealthy relationships and difficult circumstances.  The demand for the types of services we offer is increasing.

We need your financial support so we can support vulnerable families in our community during this pandemic and also be in a strong position to continue our services after the crisis.
