PIs must work with their respective Department Chairs and Research Unit Directors to develop a scale-back plan as soon as possible. A definition of who is considered essential on-site personnel, as well the definition of critical research activities is also available from the Office of Research.

Request for PPE Information
As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, UC Health, in conjunction with UCOP, is currently assessing all available PPE across the UC campuses. UC Davis Health is asking that if you have or use the following in your research to please let them know by emailing covid19supplies@ucdavis.edu.

Masks (N95 or surgical, opened boxes ok, masks should be unused)
In order to support social distancing and allow the maximum flexibility to the research community, the annual Laboratory Safety Reviews and follow-ups will be conducted remotely.
The remote reviews will involve a subset of our checklist (pdf). These checklist items are focused on online safety programs and trainings that can be both inspected remotely and corrected without being in the lab.
The reviews will be completed by Laboratory Safety Professionals as scheduled. A follow-up will occur within 30 days to ensure findings are resolved, answer questions, and to finalize the review.
The Laboratory Safety Professionals are available to review safety documents, provide feedback, and answer any questions you may have.
Radiation Audits: Radiation audits being evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to radsafety@ucdavis.edu with any questions or concerns.
Biosafety lab reviews: In an effort to support COVID-19 mitigation efforts, Biosafety lab reviews are on-hold until further notice. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please email us at biosafety@ucdavis.edu.
Controlled substance audits: controlled substance audits are on hold. Users must continue to keep their online usage logs up-to-date and accurate. Questions and concerns can be sent to cs-info@ucdavis.edu.
