We hope this finds you and your family well; our hearts go out to all who have been affected by COVID-19. Even if you are physically well, we recognize that many in our communities are facing great financial difficulties triggered by business disruptions and unemployment.

We are here to help. Self-Help is ready and able to stand with you during this difficult time, and our commitment to help the communities we serve is stronger and more important than ever. Already we have taken steps to provide relief to members with outstanding loans. Today we are announcing additional actions to help all members gain easier access to funds in Self-Help accounts, including these steps, all of which will run through June 30:

  • Waiving all early withdrawal penalties on term certificate (CD) and club accounts.
  • Removing our monthly limit on IRA withdrawals for members of a qualified age (IRS penalties still apply for members under the age of 59½).
  • Refunding $5.00 monthly maintenance fee on individual checking accounts.
  • Eliminating shared branching withdrawal fees.

We are also making it easier to deposit checks from the safety of your own home using our mobile app.

A couple of important notes:

If you do not have an ATM or debit card, we advise you to get one as soon as possible. This will help avoid unnecessary contact with others while ensuring uninterrupted access to cash in your accounts.

Please continue to use mobile or online banking as much as possible. These tools help keep you safer while giving you 24/7 access to check balances, make a payment, make mobile deposits, transfer funds and more. Our Member Services team (877-369-2828) is happy to help you set up or use these services.

We deeply appreciate all the support and many kindnesses from members during this time. Please know that we remain committed to you and your well-being. We are striving to offer the highest possible level of service while also protecting the health of members and staff.
