From the Producer
As you may know, Re-Imagined Radio has long planned a performance of The Immortal Sherlock Holmes for April 23. But, in response to the rapidly changing COVID-19 situation, and facing statewide proclamations banning public gatherings and performances, as well as for people to stay at home and practice social distancing, we cannot provide our performance as planned this month.
We are not canceling, or closing. Instead, we are postponing this performance until a later date, a time when we can move freely about and gather with others. We don't know the time frame for COVID-19 to abate. At least a month, perhaps more, we think. Whenever, we will be ready, and excited, to bring you our postponed performance of The Immortal Sherlock Holmes, and the other radio shows we have prepared.
For those of you who have purchased advance tickets, thank you for your confidence and support. Kiggins Theatre will honor your purchase when we are able to offer our next performance. In the meantime, please consider supporting Kiggins Theatre by purchasing gift cards, or a season pass. Information is provided, below. Your support will allow Kiggins Theatre to better survive the forced shutdown of its business, and thus help Re-Imagined Radio by providing the perfect place for our future performances.
You can also keep up with, even learn more about, Re-Imagined Radio by visiting our newly redesigned website. In the "Performances" section, we have provided information about all our past performances, and for many of them, audio recordings. While isolating at home, you can enjoy listening to our performances of The Maltese Falcon, Dracula, The War of the Worlds, and more.
We will continue with our newsletter, The Re-Imagined Radio Times, which we will send you, free, next month after we learn about next steps in our community response to the COVID-19 situation. Please encourage your friends, family, and others to subscribe, and point them toward our website. It is not the same as a performance, but it is what we have available at the moment to provide what we hope is welcome entertainment and education to our audience.
Thank you, individually and collectively, for your support. These are challenging times and we must find creative solutions to the problems. Thank you for including Re-Imagined Radio.
