Starting today our home learning workstations will be up and running on our school website. Teachers have designed learning experiences for their class. Here are the instructions to access the workstations
- Go to the school website
- Click the 'Learning at Home' tab on the home page
- Click the team button
- Find your child’s class
Each class has specific work for them to do with an emphasis on the basics. We have included ideas for learning that you can do during the day as well as links to suitable websites and ideas for supporting learning at home. We suggest that you aim for the 'Must Do's' and 'Can Do's' to keep learning happening.
We've additionally included two other workstations for your use at home. Mrs Foley’s 'Learning at Home Challenges' and 'Social and Emotional Support'. Both workstations have extra support for families.
Teachers have sent out codes to the online learning website that we think you will need. This includes Seesaw. We want to use Seesaw as the portal for parents and students to share learning with the teacher. I am aware that some parents may not have received these yet. Please email your classroom teacher and ask them to re-send the codes needed.
We have set up the workstation so you can use them for Thursday, 26 and Friday, 27. Then there will be a two-week break from Monday, March 30 to Tuesday, April 14, 2020.
Online classes will resume on Wednesday, April 15 with updated work options. It is important that your child completes some of the task each day.
I have decided not to have Zoom sessions for the classes until we have sorted all cyber safety concerns. I want all our school platforms to be safe for staff and students. I will keep you posted on this type of online teaching.
