#Paws4Parkinsons -  Sharing our Furry Friends

Dear Shake It Up Supporter,

Our lives have changed dramatically over a very short period of time and as the situation is continually evolving, we want you to know that we are here to support you.

Throughout April we will be bringing you a new social media campaign called Paws 4 Parkinson’s. Our Ambassador Kate Stone Matheson came up with this idea and we thought it was a great way to keep us all connected. We all know how important our furry friends are in our lives and now that we are all at home our furry friends are very happy!

I know that exercise is crucial to managing my Parkinson’s symptoms and my dog Zebby is always ready, willing and excited to join me. Every morning Zebby and I head out early for a run, walk or even a trip out on the paddleboard. He’s a great training partner and keeps me company every day.

Please share a photo or video of you and your furry friends on your Facebook and Instagram pages with the hashtag #paws4parkinsons and help us spread the love. Tell us what you love most about your pet and how they motivate you and keep you happy. Let’s share the love amongst our community and help everyone to stay positive.

We have also put together some support resources below to help you navigate your way through this crisis. We will continue to share motivational stories from our community and resources to help you.

Stay safe and well.

Clyde Campbell
Founder and CEO

Paws 4 Parkinson's

Pets play a huge role in maintaining positive mental health, especially as we are currently spending more time at home and distancing ourselves socially. Dogs, in particular, also keep us active and healthy through walks and playtime.

We want you, our supporters, to share photos and videos of you and your pets with a few words about what they mean to you. We want to share the love and positive stories about these special relationships with our Parkinson’s community.

To kick things off, we’re featuring Clyde and his trusty sidekick, Zebby.
