Dear ADDF Friends and Family,

The unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic has greatly impacted all of us – creating a stressful and uncertain environment. The ADDF leadership is closely monitoring the situation and implementing policies and practices aligned with the latest recommendations from public health officials to protect the safety, health and well-being of the ADDF community.

One of the ADDF’s defining characteristics is our unique and flexible structure, and during times of hardship, we are especially grateful for this as it allows us to persevere.

Our staff is currently working remotely until we determine it is safe to return to the office, however, our work continues. We remain focused on our mission: to conquer Alzheimer’s disease.

Some of the steps we are taking include:

• Rescheduling and/or re-inventing our spring events. We are actively engaging our gala co-chairs and committees to find alternative ways to unite as a community in support of our important research. Please visit our website for additional updates.
• Responding to research needs.  We will continue to support the critical work of the scientists and investigators we fund around the world as they face new challenges in the weeks and months ahead. We will pivot as needed and do our utmost to advance all promising opportunities.
• Providing resources. We offer resources on our Cognitive Vitality website on how to stay brain healthy. Read our blogs on meditation and yoga to minimize stress--and our blogs on brain healthy diets.

Although our interactions are temporarily limited to virtual ones, we will continue to connect and partner with you as we navigate this challenging time. We’re proud of our long history of helping to find effective therapies to prevent and treat Alzheimer’s disease, and indebted to the incredible community that has made it possible.
