Dear BRAWS Friends and Supporters,

As Mr. Rogers said, “Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.” In this time of crisis, we are lucky to have special volunteers dedicated to ensuring that all those in our community have access to basic needs. In the past few days, our volunteers have delivered THOUSANDS of critical menstrual supplies and new undergarments to Lorton Community Action Center (LCAC), Northern Virginia Family Services NVFSBritepathsNew Hope HousingSalvation Army Fairfax, Rising Hope Mission Church Pantry, Southside Survivor Response Center, Inc.Friends of Guest House, and several high school PTA pantries in Manassas Park City SchoolsLoudoun County Public SchoolsFairfax County Public Schools. We are also happy to support community initiatives - such as the pantry Purple Onion Catering Co. is organizing - for laid off restaurant employees in Vienna and beyond.

How can you help?

1. We are looking for volunteers to deliver supplies to Western Fairfax Christian Ministries in Chantilly (curbside drop off). Please email us at info@BRAWS.org if you'd like to help! We will post other volunteer opportunities as they come available.

2. If you know of an organization or pantry that needs our help, please let us know! We are here - ready and eager to help anyone in crisis! Please email Holly@BRAWS.org to connect.

3. Please support families in our community who need your help by donating products, contributing financially and volunteering to drive products to shelters, food pantries, and partner agencies. Periods don’t stop in a pandemic  - we need to ensure that all those in our community continue to have access to basic needs, such as menstrual supplies and undergarments, even in this time of uncertainty and crisis.

4. Follow us on social media. We will provide updates and requests for help over the upcoming weeks via facebook, instagram, and twitter.

Thanks you for your continued support. Please stay healthy and safe!

Respectfully,

Holly Seibold
