Behold: an extraordinarily long bulletin for extraordinary times. We've filled this missive with a big ol' list of momentary antidotes to the fear, anxiety and stir craziness that has its hooks in all of us these days. In fact, that's what we'll be doing for the duration of this crisis: packing our bulletins and Instagram feed with videos, recommendations, memes and recipes that are lifting our spirits. Be sure to follow along and tag your favorites with #ninestories so we can repost them.
Stay safe, friends. We're thinking about you and sending you all love!

Howards End
It takes real gaul to tackle a film adaptation one history's most perfect novels, but thank god James Ivory and Ismail Merchant did. Their 1992 'Howards End' is pitch perfect and the cast is, well, an embarrassment of riches. On Netflix

Coventry by Rachel Cusk
In Coventry, Rachel Cusk writes ‘knowledge is so slender and hard-won, and ignorance so vast and dangerous’. This is just one of the many incredible observations in Cusk’s book of essays. She philosophizes on truth, existence, rage – all told through seemingly mundane anecdotes. A wonderful read: something you can pick up at any time of your quarantined day that will guarantee a new outlook on the rest it.

Formula 1: Drive to Survive
A rip roaring—and devastating—look into the world of F-1 car racing. Jake started watching this one and couldn’t stop: two seasons in two days! The focus it takes to drive at crazy speeds and the competition is intense and cut-throat. In a sport of inches and milliseconds, it’s incredible to see these athletes at work in their 200 MPH ‘office desks,' but the drama is at normal speed when you get a look into their personal lives.

The time will come
when, with elation
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror
and each will smile at the other's welcome,
and say, sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you
all your life, whom you ignored
for another, who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,
the photographs, the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit. Feast on your life.
Love After Love // Derek Walcott
