Tips for joining in Worship at home:

  • Be ready to go 10 minutes before the service is starting with your computer, iPad or TV set up and connected. The livestream will appear about 5 mins before the service is scheduled to begin.
  • If you have a printer, you may want to print the Order of Service in advance and have them ready for Sunday Morning, otherwise you can follow along on another device. Do join in the response and hymns as you normally would.
  • If there is problem with the Livestream technology, don't worry! We will record all our services and make them available as soon as possible after.
  • To access the Zoom meetings/gatherings just click the links that around the time the session is to begin (9.15 and 11.15am)

Pray with us for

The ministry team of St Paul’s Cathedral has been meeting electronically for morning prayer, during which they remember each member of our electoral roll and other parishioners by name over the course of the week. Know that we are holding each and every one of you in our prayers.

We all look forward to a return to normal patterns of life and a big celebration by all of us to say thank you to God for his faithfulness in time of this crisis.

In the meantime, we continue in prayer for you as part of our Cathedral community, and ask that you remember us also as we seek out ways to maintain our ministry, proclaim the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and to continue share in fellowship.

We are praying for healthcare professionals, for doctors and nurses who are caring for the infected, and medical researchers as they seek to develop and test a vaccine.

We are praying for people at risk, and those who are fearful of infection. We are praying for those taking important strategic decisions for our nation and the world over. We are praying for those who are separated from loved ones because of quarantine or travel.

We are praying for peace of mind: that the peace of God which passes all understanding may be in our hearts, our homes and workplaces, our schools and colleges, our supermarkets and hospitals, our public transport and our airports at this time.

Wisdom for world leaders and health officials as COVID-19 continues spreading, protection for those particularly at risk, sustaining of health workers, adequate support of those working on a vaccine; our federal and state governments and health authorities in their important work of responding to community needs at this time, particularly for the frail and vulnerable people in our community; for peace in the Middle East, in Syria, Israel, Iraq; care and protection of refugees around the world with the complexities added by the COVID-19 pandemic.
