In this week's Bulletin:

Dear <<First Name>>

27 March 2020

Welcome to a new era of worshipping our Awesome God!  Overnight we had to make adjustments to how we bring the Word to our congregation on Sundays.  This is for sure a testing time, but also an exciting time of new opportunities to proclaim the Good Message in our community.

The way for us to bring the service to you for the immediate future, is through Facebook.  We encourage you to like our Facebook page if you have not done so yet and watch the service with your family on Sunday at our usual time of 9:30am.

This is also an opportunity for us a congregation to invite our Facebook friends who are not connected to our Facebook page yet, to “Like” our page and join our church community on social media.

CRCA WOMEN'S CONVENTION POSTPONED

Due to current events and Government restrictions the Convention Planning Committee has had to postpone this year’s Women's Convention in Queensland. The venue will remain the same but the new date is Friday 28th May - Monday 31st May 2021. We apologise for the all inconvenience this will cause, especially to those who are travelling. We pray that you and your families will stay well and safe.  See you all next year.

Property on Church Premises

If any of your personal property is stored on the Church premises, or if you are the person responsible for the property by virtue of the ministry that you are, or were, involved in (be it in one of the storerooms, the shed or in the Manse), would you please either collect it into your safekeeping or let Barto du Plessis or Francois van der Walt know that it is still required? There are a lot of things stored in different rooms and cupboards, some of which appear not to be needed any longer. We plan a big clean up in the near future, and would prefer to not throw away things that are still needed.

RTC News

            G.O.S.P.E.L

 Prayer points for March
  • Focus on families, women and children
    • At two field locations some 200 people were involved with seminars focused on Christian family life. This is a significant topic for these first generation believers to learn that the Lordship of Christ extends to all of life.
    • Child abuse is a pernicious evil that also affects kids in villages. G.O.S.P.E.L. missionaries are taught about child protection strategies and also about violence against women. The G.O.S.P.E.L. mission field has clear policies which are explained to all evangelists and staff.Pray that all our mission churches will be places where vulnerable people would feel safe.
  •  Focus on the challenges of teaching new believers.
    • One of the G.O.S.P.E.L. evangelists gives thanks to God for ten new families who have embraced the Gospel at Kachi village.  He is requesting prayer for these new believers. This is a reason for thanksgiving, but this also brings the challenge to invest time to bring these new Christians to maturity. There’s a lot to do for all our 75 evangelists.

Other  Prayer Points

A prayer request from Bert Kuipers.  While every country pray for the pandemic that everyone faces, the problems are much more severe in developing countries.  Pray for God’s Mercy!

  • Myanmar
Reformed brothers and sisters in southern Chin state have shared that in midst of the pandemic there is also armed conflict in their regions and refugees are fleeing. Please pray that peace return and for protection. They are trying to minister to the many injured and needy.

  • India
Due to the stringent lockdown procedures, people who are poor are not able to work for daily wages to get food. Starvation looms for many. Migrant workers have to return to their native places, but public transport has stopped, forcing them to walk hundreds of kilometres.

Privileged to Serve

Thank you for being willing to serve our congregation, by fulfilling one of the tasks mentioned on our Duty Roster! May our Lord bless you in this process with His gracious presence.
