Following the second letter from the Vicar earlier this week, please read the ‘Coping with COVID-19’ page on our website, which is updated every day. 
            Public worship and events have been suspended; our Noon Mass is being live-streamed each day; the church is no longer open, even for private prayer; we have more podcasts and are providing activities for children at home. See more below. 
 
1.  Read how St Michael & All Angels is helping those in need, and how you can volunteer, on The Chiswick Calendar website

 
2. At 12 Noon today, Friday March 27th, in St Michael & Angels Church, the Mass will be live-streamed, as it has been for the past week. Please join us at home for 
the 25-minute service on the St Michael’s Facebook page, live or as a recording. You can watch it without signing up to Facebook, simply by clicking the link. 
            You can watch all the recordings so far on our ‘Coping with COVID-19’ page.
           You can also listen to our Podcasts there, with words and music, including those for Mothering Sunday and one for this Sunday, Passion Sunday (details below). 
            
3. Tomorrow, Saturday March 28th, like all public gatherings, the Gunnersbury Park Museum Local History Day talks have been cancelled, along with other events and its cafe. But the park remains open.

            At Chiswick House & Gardens, you can still walk in the grounds, if you keep to social distancing recommendations, but the House, Café, playground and toilets are closed. See their

            The Chiswick Playhouse above the Tabard is closed for at least 12 weeks.  To help it weather the crisis, it has launched a “Buy A Seat” campaign and video.

 
4. Tomorrow, Saturday 28th at 12 Noon, on the St Michael & All Angels Facebook page, the Mass will be live-streamed and available to watch afterwards:

            Also tomorrow, in St. Peter’s Church, Southfield Rd, W4 1BB, the Addison Singers Spring concert has been cancelled.

5. On Sunday March 29th, Passion Sunday, at 10am at St Michael & All Angels Church, the Mass will be live-streamed 
for watching at home.
          The Children’s Church has prepared more Sunday worship material for children to read, discuss and create at home. See ‘Jesus and Lazarus and rock cakes activity’ on our Children’s Church pages.

6. With no Sunday collection in church, please contribute to the work of St Michael’s via our website
You can donate here, and we encourage you to add Gift Aid if you are able. During Lent, we are inviting people to join our Planned Giving scheme; it allows us to budget effectively and reduces administrative costs. Read more about Planned Giving.

7. With no Green Jar in church, you may also donate online to our Lent Charities Appeal, in aid of St Michael’s three charities for 2020, 
The Upper RoomWaterHarvest and West London Welcome. Please click on the links to see what they are saying about the current crisis. The Upper Room is still serving meals but has closed its UR4Driving premises  for the moment. 

8. If you have self-isolated and/or you need any pastoral or other support, please get in touch with us via the Parish Office: 020 8994 1380 or 
parishoffice@smaaa.org.uk. Fr Thomas is co-ordinating volunteers to help vulnerable people with food deliveries, picking up prescriptions and so on. More volunteers would be welcome – please contact the parish office. 

9. Many local roads now have a WhatsApp group to help their neighbours. There is a Facebook group co-ordinating these responses, which can tell you if your road has one:

10. We can no longer take food for Ealing Foodbank at St Michael & All Angels – but on Wednesdays their depot in Hanwell can receive donations. Read more on their website


11. On Thursday April 2nd, the Arts Society Chiswick lecture - Raphael: A Master in the Making has been cancelled and so have all its lectures till the autumn. It has started rescheduling some of these talks. See its website

12.  On Saturday April 4th, 7.30pm, at the Holy Trinity Church, Sloane Square, the Petros Singers concert: A Royal Occasion has been postponed until Saturday October 24th. Other details remain the same. They will keep their 
website updated: if you have any queries please contact admin@petrossingers.org.

13. On Tuesday April 21st, the Bedford Park Society Spring Lecture on William De Morgan Arts and Crafts Tiles in Bedford Park, has been postponed. Tickets will be refunded. It is also reviewing the date of its AGM, due to take place on May 21st.
 
Dates further ahead: These events have not been cancelled so far (but please watch local media and social media for updates).

- Friday June 12th to Sunday 28th: the Bedford Park Festival will be going ahead in some form, at the very least online. More details will be announced after Easter. 
 
- Thursday September 10th to Monday 14th: Chiswick Book Festival. Planning continues.
