Dear <<Salutation>>

This has not been the finish to term that we would have wished for, but nonetheless it has given the community the chance to live the values, and develop the future skills we hold dear. A week ago, many teachers and boys had no idea what Teams meant in any other than a sporting context. That has all changed in a week that has seen a steep learning curve for pretty much every member of the community.
 
Thank you to the boys for being so impressively brilliant, to the teachers for getting to grips with a totally new way of teaching in a heartbeat, and for delivering a pretty spectacular learning experience given the circumstances, to the support staff for seamlessly steering worried colleagues through the week, and to parents for being so thoroughly supportive. Thank you so much for all the incredibly kind and thoughtful letters too. It has been an emotional week too, and one which has made me so proud, and humbled to be part of this exceptional community.
 
I imagine that the next few weeks will be difficult for many of us, but we will continue to provide the best sort of education we are able to next term, whether or not we are all back together at the end of the holidays. I pray for a quick conclusion to the current crisis, and a chance to be back at school together once more.

Teams
Well done to boys for their use of technology over this week. Please can we ask the boys not to use Teams via the school system over the holidays. They are welcome to download the App and use it privately.

House Art Competition 2020
This year’s House Art Exhibition was due to open on Monday 4th May. In the current circumstances, it should be of no surprise that this event has been postponed until a later date.
 
Nevertheless, many boys have been encouraged to work on an idea during this week's remote learning. Whenever the exhibition takes place, the art department will be delighted to receive your son's entry. The House Art Entry Form is available to boys on FireFly and in their form's Google Classroom.
 
We hope the boys take up the opportunity to work on their idea over the holidays. If any parent would like to work alongside their son and produce their own artwork for exhibition, then you are warmly invited to do so.
