Czech/Angolan star Benny Cristo remade "Kemama" hit in Kenya!

First trip to Kenya and the re-birth of a hit! That describes the story of Czech/Angolan singer & sportsman Benny Cristo who was in Kenya, to record music meant to feature in the 2020 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, where he had been chosen to represent Czech Republic. The contest has since been cancelled following the Coronavirus pandemic. Benny however feels that his trip to Kenya wasn't in vain. For him, it wasn't just a remake of his "Kemama" hit song but also a rebirth of sorts, for he hadn't been back to Sub Saharan Africa in 28 years but felt at home in Nairobi. "Kemama" revamp was produced by his long-term collaborator Osama, alongside Sean Peevers and other engineers at Village Creative. License to "Disco Matanga": Sauti Sol present 'Queen Sono' soundtrack

Kenyan hitmakers, Sauti Sol, still on that good year. “Disco Matanga (Yambakhana)” featuring South Africa's Sho Madjozi and Black Motion, who produced the track, is the official soundtrack to Queen Sono - Netflix's first African original series. The sonically up-tempo house song is lyrically conscious and touches on the social issues associated with holding discos at funerals (matanga in Swahili) - affecting Kenyan youth. Sauti Sol co-produced the Pan-African collaboration that follows the success of "Suzanna" - their debut single under Universal Music Group. Fancyfingers says good vibes will continue in their upcoming new album, “There is a lot of maturity in the album. We have come of age and we express how people should perceive us freely after 11 years as professional singers. Every song speaks to an issue that is relatable to everyone" Listen to all 16 tracks off Queen Sono - official soundtrack here: https://apple.co/3dAlNJv
