Check out the available reliefs from the 3-tiers of Government  Municipal Government Updates: The City of Toronto Mayor's Economic Support and Recovery Task Force has issued a survey to hear directly from 20,000 local businesses about the impact of COVID-19. Click for Survey  Click for a Full list of Economic Support & Recovery resources available to Businesses Provincial Government Updates: Summary of Support for Ontario Businesses: $3.7 billion in new investments for jobs  $10 billion in short term tax deferrals including: Increasing the Employer Health Tax Exemption to $1 million, meaning nearly 90% of Ontario businesses won’t have to pay the tax this year. $1.9 billion in relief to employers by allowing them to defer WSIB payments for six months. Deferring property taxes, including the quarterly installment of the 1.8bn Education Property Tax  $6 billion representing five months of interest and penalty relief for businesses to file and make payments for provincial taxes including: Tobacco,  Fuel; Gas; Beer, Wine, and Spirits Tax; Mining; Insurance Premium; International Fuel, Race Tracks Tax through to August 31. This will improve cash flow for about 100,000 businesses. New 10% refundable Regional Opportunities Investment Tax Credit to encourage business Investment in every region of Ontario. Providing $9 million in direct support to families for their energy bills by expanding eligibility for the Low-income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) and ensuring that electricity and natural gas services are not disconnected for nonpayment during the COVID-19 outbreak.
