Dear Friends,

We hope this email finds you well and that you and your loved ones are making every effort to stay safe and healthy in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Like you, we are gradually adjusting to this new reality.

Now, more than ever, we recognize the need for empathy and connectedness on a global scale. At Narrative 4, we’re developing resources to stay connected with our network and to support educators navigating the new terrain of online learning environments.

1.  Virtual Story Exchanges
Through the exchange of personal narratives we see the world, and ourselves, more empathically, a belief supported by the work of neuroscientists and by the experiences of story exchange participants.

The story exchange is for educators and communities who:

  • Wish for an authentic experiential learning experience
  • Aim to develop social emotional learning
  • Desire to build classroom cohesion
  • Want to promote positive school and workplace climates
  • Strive to cultivate courageous conversations
  • Encourage civic responsibility in students

Would you like to bring a virtual story exchange to your online classroom? We’ve created this handy one-pager to help you get started. Need more support? Email alondra@narrative4.com for more information or to schedule a call.

2. Informational Webinars
Interested in Narrative 4, but want to know more? Sign-up for an online meet-and-greet and webinar to learn how we use the power of storytelling to build empathy, create connection, and support schools in fostering social-emotional learning experiences. Our next webinar is Wednesday, April 1, 2:00-2:30PM CST. More dates to be announced soon!

3. Creating Deep Connection
If you're longing for conversation or just want to talk with someone new, we've created a pilot project to bring people together.  Sign-up for a one-on-one conversation with a member of the Narrative 4 network. We'll also send you our conversation starter, "A Simple Guide to Deep Connection."

4. The Vital Age of Virtual Storytelling
Read a message of hope from Narrative 4 Co-Founder and acclaimed author Colum McCann on the role of art and storytelling in these surreal times.

May you find a moment to connect with one thing that brings you joy today and every day.
