Join Us for our Weekly Virtual Community Meetings

There's never been a more critical time to support foster children and families. With the current pandemic taking place, over 23,000 children are in need of foster homes in Florida alone. Fostering Our Future is hosting weekly Virtual Community Meetings to help facilitate a conversation about adapting to new realities in caregiver policy and processes. With these meetings, we will share ideas for creating daily structure/routines while our preschoolers and students are learning from home and how our family support volunteers and ministry team leaders may help out while we are all adapting to Stay-At-Home and Social Distancing strategy to flatten the curve.

We're calling on all Community Leaders, Providers, Support Agencies, and Caregivers to join us for our weekly Virtual Community Meetings, which will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM for the forseeable future. Ask questions. Ask for help. Solve problems and celebrate community together. Join the call and learn what you can do to help the foster care crisis during these difficult times. Our next Virtual Community Meeting is tomorrow (Tuesday, March 31), and we will be discussing how Judicial Court scheduling is impacting foster families during the COVID-19 pandemic.

How You Can Help

Many of you are reaching out asking how you can help. We appreciate your support during these unprecedented times. As you know, our Annual Accelerator Event was canceled. However, here are some initiatives everyone can take to help keep support high during this pandemic:
Join Our Virtual Community Meetings
We are holding Virtual Community Meetings every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM. These meetings are open to all interested supporters of the Fostering Our Families initiative, potential donors, foster families looking for resources, ministry leaders, and those interested in becoming support families.
Become a Family Advocate or Homeschool Assistant
We are looking to provide online training for Volunteer Family Advocates and Homeschooling Assistants. The training will equip volunteers to serve as Pastoral Caregivers/Advocates and Homeschooling Assistants to families using Zoom Video Conferencing. Our goal is to pair a Family Advocate and Homeschooling Assistant for every foster family. If you're interested or know someone interested, please contact Bill Hancock at (770) 315-4207 or email bill@fosteringourfutire.info
Join Our Facebook Group
We have a very active community on our Facebook group and would like to invite you to join to become part of the conversation. For regular updates, request to join our group, Fostering Our Future Members.
Donate
We’re working with local, regional, and state leaders to assure our families and children have food, medicine, home schooling assistance, and financial support as we walk through this uncertainty together. Help up stay on mission by making a one-time or reoccurring donation to help those in need of our services.

Your generous, ongoing support is needed now more than ever as we accelerate our mission to care for the most vulnerable children in our community.
