Principal's Message
Good evening enCompass families. This is Toby Wiedenmayer with an important update for all students.
Late Friday evening Governor Sisolak ordered all school districts in the state to close for a total of 30 days due to the coronavirus—or COVID 19-- pandemic. This means that schools are now scheduled to open on Thursday, April 16, upon approval of the Chief Medical Officer for the state, and brings schools into alignment with the closure period across Nevada.
We also received confirmation that the US Department of Education has agreed to waive all testing, and “End of Course exams” will not be given this year. enCompass staff members continue to work on plans for launching a remote education plan for our students using a hybrid of virtual and hard copy educational materials. We will be reaching out later this week with detailed instructions for how to access academic work starting the week of March 30.
I want to thank all of you for your support and understanding. As a parent and an educator, I know how challenging this time has been for our entire community, and I appreciate your patience and willingness to work with us.
Once again, Governor Sisolak has ordered that schools remain out of session until Thursday, April 16 and will not return April 6 as previously thought.

In addition to Covid-19 updates, our website has also been updated with information about online learning and supports for families during this challenging time.
Finally, a letter has been sent home with information about our Remote Learning Plan. You will be receiving more emails about remote learning and food resources for families soon.
