My thoughts are with all my customers and their families and friends during the current crisis. I hope you are well and taking care of yourselves.
This is will be the last catalogue in the current format. I am working on a new format in which all the books offered in the catalogue will be illustrated. The next issue will be a smaller catalogue presenting an exceptional selection of works on the Gallipoli Campaign, 1915. If that works future full catalogues will continue in the new format. I am also planning to publish TurnerDonovan Telegraphs. The intention of these periodicals is to showcase individual archives and books and documents relating to specific subjects, also to offer a forum to promote interaction between collectors and researchers.
This catalogue contains a selection of works in all the customary areas, notably a good range of Great War official histories, several interesting ephemeral items and an excellent choice of Regimental Histories.

Merry Hell! A Dane with the Canadians.
 Author reached Canada in 1917 & enlisted in the Royal Highlanders of Canada (Black Watch), arrived at the Western Front in March 1918 & won the VC in the Battle of Amiens (the only Danish holder of the award), also the Croix de Guerre & a commission. Informative account of training & active service with the Canadians. Orig. rust cloth, titled in black, VG in chipped & neatly repaired but scarce & attractive dw.  There appears to have been a thriving Old Comrades' Association at Kimberley which was responsible for organising this 'World Register of Tunnelling Company Officers', stated to be No. 1 but thought to be the only edition published. Includes complete rolls with current addresses, officers died since the war, topographical index, Roll of Hon., also Messages & Correspondence, Mining Bibliography, Tunnelling Chronology, list of Tunnelling Companies & Their Sectors (showing where each operated) &c. [C.D.S. No. 36.] Notes on the Employment of Machine Guns & The Training of Machine Gunners.
 CONFIDENTIAL. "The following notes on the training of Machine-Gun Detachments, & on the employment of Machine Guns, have been compiled as a result of experience gained in the present war." Interesting notes with very nice selection of sketches including several relating to the Canal Line at Mons, The Marne, &c. An early-war treatise based on recent experiences, including dispositions/sketch of canal at Mons on 23rd August 1914 & other early examples. The Desert My Dwelling Place.
 The classic personal account of "Y2 Patrol" of the Long Range Desert Group in the Western Desert 1941-42 (inc. Tobruk Raid) by its leader, then Capt. David Lloyd-Owen. At the end of 1943 he took over command of the LRDG & post-war chieve the rank of Major-General. Orig. red cloth, gilt, VG in sl. chipped & neatly repaired dw, with author's presentation inscrip. to ffep: "To Vaughan Parry With my very best wishes. "Langemarck" & "Cambrai" - A War Narrative 1914-1918.
 Excellent, scarce locally printed memoir of service with Shropshire Yeomanry in UK then posted to 6th King's Shropshire Light Infantry in France, Sept. 1916. Fine personal account of the battles named in the title & other events on active service 1916-18. Orig. black cloth, white ink titling to front & sp., VG in sl. chipped but very rare & striking pictorial dw featuring illustration 'The Tank Battle' by John Dugdale, with an interesting presentation inscription from the author: "To Brigadier Parminter with Compliments from Geoffrey Dugdale. 15 12.40. I trust it will not bore you too much, it was only written to show the family 'What Daddy did in the Great War.' It was not intended for publication originally." (Recipient was Brig. R.H.R. A War Journal of the Fifth (Kenya) Battalion, The King's African Rifles.
 Operations in Kenya 1940, Conquest of Italian Somaliland (Abyssinia) 1941 followed by the little-recorded campaign in Madagascar, then to Burma serving with 11th (EA) Division in the Kabaw Valley &c. 1944-45, compiled by two wartime COs. "...contains most of the information which most researchers are likely to require. The narrative is presented in a somewhat amateur format, but is very readable & easy to follow." - Perkins. History of D.D. (Jerboa) Battery Royal Horse Artillery from October, 1941 to May, 1945.
 RHA Battery formed in 1941 served in 7th Armoured Div. in Western Desert inc. Sidi Rezegh &c.) ; went on the land in Normandy on 8th/9th June 1944 & fought in breakout battles, on to the Seine & Low Countries, Rhine Crossing &c. Roll of awards, Roll of Hon. (all ranks, both killed & wounded). Much interesting detail. VG & inscribed "To L/Bdr. Very W.G. With the Compliments of DD (Jerboa) Bty. 4th Regt. Royal Horse Artillery, BAOR."  Concise history with a number of cartoons redolent of training in England & active service in NW Europe with 11th (armd.) Div. Roll of Honour. "Published for ex-members just prior to disbandment. Includes a full address list of squadron members together with next-of-kin of those killed. This booklet ncame with a coloured paper dust jacket which is sometimes missing.  An official contemp. intelligence report on V Corps operations during the Final Advance from the Somme onwards inc. the forcing of the Ancre & capture of the Thiepval Ridge, capture of Longeuval, advance to the Canal du Nord, capture of the Nauroy-le Catelet Line, attack on the Beaurevoir Line &c. Detailed narrative supported by Appendices inc. an account of the V Corps Artillery, various casualty statistics, &c. The excellent maps include original trench & other contemp. 1:20,000 scale maps with quite superb operational markings in coloured inks to illustrate the various attacks described in the text.
