Words of Encouragement from Apostle, Dr. Shirley R. Brown

As you are aware the local governments of Durham, Wake, and Orange County have issued a stay at home order that is either in effect or will go into effect at 5:00 p.m. today.  As I was preparing this announcement Governor Roy Cooper, announced Executive Order 121.  The executive order requires us to stay at home and goes into effect Monday, March 30, 2020, at 5:00 p.m.  I have been prepping our ministry to be ready if weren’t behind the four walls and now is the time. Church will never be the same!

We must adhere to the laws of the land. That means be obedient and stay home. So, what does that mean for Destiny International?  We will have a variety of classes, seminars plus our regular services streamed live. Pay close attention to all emails and social media chats on Apostle's sites.

During this season think on these things...

During this time of “stay-at-home” isolation, depression, anxiety, and even an increase of domestic violence can come in; therefore, we speak against the manifestation of those strongholds and we declare peace and sound mind be your portion. We cast down every stronghold the enemy may try to slip in.  We declare 2 Timothy 1:7 over all of Destiny International Ministry and No Nonsense Kingdom Alliance and everyone attached to us including family and friends 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV): For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

We are praying for each and every one of you; if you have a specific prayer request during this period please text or call our dedicated prayer line and leave a message of your prayer request. The Prayer Line number is 919-457-2218 this line is available 24 hours a day.

During this time of rest, enjoy your family, stay before the Lord, and pray. We have heard confirmation after confirmation from Kingdom Leaders. Therefore, as members of the Kingdom we need to take hold of the following:
  1. Stay in the house: Isaiah 26:20-21 (MSG): Come, my people, go home and shut yourselves in. Go into seclusion for a while until the punishing wrath is past.  21 Because God is sure to come from his place to punish the wrong of the people on earth. Earth itself will point out the bloodstains; it will show where the murdered have been hidden away.  We have to be obedient during this season, we must be on our post, meaning we must stay at home. In doing so, let's check on one another.
  2. Sanitize and sanctify your house: Exodus 12:23 (NIV) 23: When the Lord goes through the land to strike down the Egyptians, he will see the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass over that doorway, and he will not permit the destroyer to enter your houses and strike you down.
Now is the time for you to sanitize and to sanctify your homes.  Lay before the Lord and seek his face like never before.
  3. Sow a Seed: Galatians 6:8 (TPT) 8 The harvest you reap reveals the seed that was planted. If you plant the corrupt seeds of self - life into this natural realm, you can expect to experience a harvest of corruption. If you plant the good seeds[ of Spirit-life you will reap the beautiful fruits that grow from the everlasting life of the Spirit.  I cannot stress how important during this season to sow as you have never sown before.  It is important that you sow into the fertile ground during this season.  You can sow financially, you can sow your talent (there are opportunities to give back to the community) and of course, continue to tithe.
So remember this to will pass and I am praying for all of you.

Prayer of Consolation

Father, we thank you for this and we glorify you. We ask you to remain to allow the angels to stand post over us.  The blood is on the doorpost, as we stay in and be content.  We are assured that we will come out of this with great joy.  Calm all the fear, lift all the anxieties.  Let us be creative in our time with you, Let us rejoice, let peace overtake us.  For we are certain that this too will pass.  Let us hide for a while while the indignation passes over.

Father, as we continue to call this flock by name, let no weapon formed against them prosper.  We are over-comers! We are Victorious! We are your children.  We make the declaration no sickness will come near us.  We trust you Father and in this, we say amen!

Love you all,
Apostle Shirley R. Brown

What You Can Do:
Destiny International Ministries will continue to heed to the counsel of the governmental and public health authorities, and we will take appropriate steps to ensure the health and safety of the community. If you are sick with COVID-19 or suspect you are infected, with the virus that causes COVID-19, follow the steps below to help prevent the disease from spreading.

STEP 1: Stay home except to get medical care
You should restrict activities outside your home, except for getting medical care. Do not go to work, school, or public areas. Avoid using public transportation, ride-sharing, or taxis.

STEP 2: Separate yourself from other people and animals in your home

People:
As much as possible, you should stay in a specific room and away from other people in your home. Also, you should use a separate bathroom, if available.

Animals:
Do not handle pets or other animals while sick. See COVID-19 and Animals for more information.

STEP 3: Seek medical care right away: Call ahead before visiting your doctor
Call your healthcare provider and tell them that you have or may have COVID-19. This will help the healthcare provider’s office take steps to keep other people from getting infected or exposed.

STEP 4: Wear a face mask
You should wear a face mask when you are around other people (e.g., sharing a room or vehicle) or pets and before you enter a healthcare provider’s office. These steps will help the healthcare provider’s office to keep other people in the office or waiting room from getting infected or exposed. If you are not able to wear a face mask (for example, because it causes trouble breathing), then people who live with you should not stay in the same room with you, or they should wear a face mask if they enter your room.

STEP 5: Cover your coughs and sneezes
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw used tissues in a lined trash can; immediately wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol, covering all surfaces of your hands and rubbing them together until they feel dry.

STEP 6: Avoid sharing personal household items
You should not share dishes, drinking glasses, cups, eating utensils, towels, or bedding with other people or pets in your home. After using these items, they should be washed thoroughly with soap and water.

STEP 7: Clean your hands often
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol, covering all surfaces of your hands and rubbing them together until they feel dry. Soap and water should be used preferentially if hands are visibly dirty. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

STEP 8: Clean all “high-touch” surfaces every day
High-touch surfaces include counters, tabletops, doorknobs, bathroom fixtures, toilets, phones, keyboards, tablets, and bedside tables. Also, clean any surfaces that may have blood, stool, or body fluids on them. Use a household cleaning spray or wipe, according to the label instructions.

Other Actions to Consider:
Ask your healthcare provider to call the local or state health department. Persons who are placed under active monitoring or facilitated self-monitoring should follow instructions provided by the local health department or occupational health professionals, as appropriate. If you have a medical emergency and need to call 911, notify the dispatch personnel that you have, or are being evaluated for COVID-19. If possible, put on a facemask before emergency medical services arrive.
