The Fifth Sunday of Lent 2020
Greetings and prayers to you all, as we begin Passiontide.
Mass on Sunday morning in the clergy house at 9.30am, livestreamed on Facebook.
Please continue to pray for all caught up in this pandemic, and for those in public office seeking to implement strategies to maximise our safety.
Our prayers continue for all our parishioners. Please be in touch (details at the very bottom of this page) if we can assist you in any way or offer prayers for you or for your intentions.

Church Closed
In response to the Bishop of Southwark's latest letter, all parish churches in the Diocese remain closed to the public and even for private prayer.
We are sorry about this, as we had very much hoped to keep the church open for a period each day to allow people to pray quietly.
We will keep you informed of any updates to the present situation and, in the meantime, assure you of our daily prayers at the Offices and the Mass

For our prayers today
We pray for the sick, and for those who care for them.
We pray for all who are anxious or afraid at this time, asking the Lord to comfort and relieve them.
We pray for those responsible involved in policy-making at this time in our Health Service, and for all those risking their lives at this time in the service of others.
For the life and witness of our Parish at this testing time; for God's blessing and strength upon all our parishioners, especially those who feel anxious.

Music from the Choir
A matter of days before the lockdown, as many members of the choir as were available kindly gave up a morning of their time to come into church and to record some seasonal music for Lent, Passiontide, Holy Week and Easter.
We hope these will help your prayers at this time, particularly as we shall be deprived of the full celebration of the Holy Week rites this year.
We are the fortunate beneficiaries at St Michael's of a rich musical tradition, and the music from the choir and our organists greatly enriches our life of prayer here, and in particular in Holy Week.
The first item on our Lenten Playlist is the plainsong Lent Prose. Click above to listen.
Thank you to Andy, Joshua and the members of the choir who were able to join us to make these recordings - we look forward very much to the day when we may gather in church again to hear and see you all in person.
