New Website is Done!
Ok.  That might be a slight exaggeration because there is still a ton left to do on it - BUT - the new website is live and you can make purchases through it!

Many things still aren't up on the site and a some of the yarn is still missing images, but I didn't want to wait any longer to give all of you an easier way to get your yarn fix. If something you need isn't up on the site yet, or you have questions. or something is wonky with the site, please don't hesitate to email the shop at info@woolyn.com and we'll 'take the long way around' to get you set up.

I'm continuing to add items and images to the site as quickly as possible - next up is needles.   But I'm super excited that I was able to get it to this point, this quickly.  I hope you enjoy it and find it usable.  And if not, let me know!
Quaranskein Mystery Packs!!!
To celebrate the website going live and because I think this is a fantastically fabulous idea, I've decided to do Quaranskein Mystery Packs while the shop is closed to the public.

The Quaranskein idea was originally thought up by another LYS owner, Lucinda of Mont Tricot in Canada  - yep, shop owners really do talk to each other 😏.  The Quaranskein Mystery Pack is an individually curated yarn surprise with a twist. It can be shipped to your doorstep or be picked up from the shop.

The way it works is that you choose the amount you want to spend and I'll put together a great yarn surprise + three pattern suggestions for you.  The twist is that in the notes of your order let me know the yarn weight you want to receive and also leave a word to inspire me in putting together your Pack.  It could be a color, a random word, a favorite song, anything!

Your surprise will always be well thought out and the value will be very good for what you're paying - I promise!  Each mystery pack will be chosen with love and care.

Choosing colors IS my super power, after all.

Covid19 Updates
It certainly has been a strange and hard couple of weeks.  I hope you're all able to maintain some normalcy as you keep your distance from everyone not in your immediate family and stay inside as much as possible.  I hope you're able to keep working your jobs with minimal disruption and are considering helping out those who could use it.  And for those of you with essential jobs, thank you so much for what you're doing to make it possible for the rest of us to stay home.

I have stopped doing neighborhood drop offs.  It didn't feel safe with the number of people who are still out and about on the narrow sidewalks of the neighborhood.  Orders are still available for pickup at the shop during the hours I'm there (T, Th + F from 10ish-1ish) or by another scheduled time. I am also mailing out orders.

As unsure as things are right now and it how strange and awful it is not to have the shop open to you all, I'm so very thankful everyone who has sent a kind email, placed an order, or donated some money to the fund to help me keep paying the staff while we're closed.  I can't express how much it all means to me during this crazy time. I hope that NYC is able to start to get back to normal sooner rather than later but, if even if we aren't, I'm so glad you're all part of Woolyn.
Be kind to each other and yourself this week.
