Wow, What a Month and What a Fantastic Staff!
Knowing how much you rely on us, members of the staff worked to continue to serve you as best as we could before we had to stop providing services during this time of physical distancing. How did we help?
We knew lots of you had important papers and documents that you needed faxed or copied, so donning gloves, we met you at your car, took your documents inside the library and faxed or copied them for you, and then brought them back out. And of course, we knew you were going to need books and movies before going into self-imposed isolation.

April 1, 2020 - Andover, Ohio:Members of the Andover Public Library Robotics Club founded the Pymatuning Fabrication Laboratory earlier this year. The PymaFabLab is currently using 3D printers to produce much needed medical and safety equipment during the Covid 19 crisis.

As the number of new COVID-19 cases in Ohio began rapidly increasing mid-March and Ohio enacted measures to keep the number of cases requiring professional medical treatment from overwhelming the medical community, members of the PymaFabLab began discussing how they could help fill a need if the regular protective equipment supply became dangerously inadequate. 3D-printing face shields was an obvious choice. Sheila and Maria have been texting back and forth, coming up with ideas for "Facebook Live Craft Programs" using items you likely have at home.
"Craft programs are so popular at our library, so we put our heads together and came up with ideas that are easy and fun. This is a hard time for all of us, crafts can be a great distraction and stress reliever.", Maria Firkaly, Community Relations Coordinator
You can find the crafts on the library's page on Facebook. Maria and Sheila are doing their best to plan the "events" at least a few days ahead of time, including a list of supplies you will need. If you miss a program you can find it on the page to view later.
