MEDICATION COLLECTIONS
Please return your household data forms as soon as possible.
The form is now online at:
https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/4TLYT1/
This is to ensure we provide a back-up to residents who are not receiving help from neighbours, friends or family.
Andy Anderson, our Aynho Connect Coordinator, will be putting volunteers in touch with anyone who needs medication collected. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT PHARMACIES NEED A WEEKS NOTICE TO PROVIDE MEDICATION NOT ON FORMAL REPEAT PRESCRIPTION.

ABOUT CORONAVIRUS
Viral infections can be spread by many routes and the aerosol route is perhaps the most dangerous as many viral particles can be spread in one go and are easily picked up by the next host, either by direct inhalation or via contact with an infected person or contaminated surface.
The symptoms infected individuals exhibit and the time from infection to display of these symptoms (incubation period) vary widely depending on many variables such as health of the individual and, apparently, the dose of virus the individual was exposed to (which may explain why in some countries health care professionals are amongst the worst affected).
Whilst there are symptoms which appear to be typical to infection with Covid-19 (such as persistent cough and fever), recent studies suggest that as many as 1/3rd of infected individuals will show no clear signs of infection. This is the real problem with the pandemic as if makes stopping transmission much harder. Some studies have suggested that it can take as long as 7 days from exposure to display of symptoms, giving a long window for people to spread the virus to others without realising it. THIS IS WHY SOCIAL DISTANCING IS SO IMPORTANT. KEEP 6 FEET/2 METRES AWAY FROM EVERYONE AND STAY AT HOME IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. THIS WILL PROTECT THOSE AT RISK, REDUCE SPREAD AND HASTEN THE DAY WE CAN GET BACK TO NORMAL
