Welcome to the latest edition of 'Chatter From The 19th'. Our annual Lyn McNaught Travel Golf Day was played on Saturday, congratulations to our winners, Travis Dalziel and Simon Montgomery who took home the Lyn McNaught Travel voucher valued at $2000. Thank you to all who registered to play and thank you again to long time sponsor of this tournament, Lyn McNaught Travel. The Australian Government has introduced further restrictions that we are now operating under. As of 12 noon today, the Clubhouse and Bistro were CLOSED. Golf, Bowls and the Pro Shop remain OPEN however there are strict attendance and play rules that must be adhered to for the safety of all. Staff and volunteers at Mooroopna Golf Club are doing their best and we appreciate your understanding and co-operation in advance. For more information please see below.

COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS
To help reduce the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Australian government has introduced further restrictions that the Club is now operating under. The Clubhouse and Bistro are now CLOSED, however golf, bowls and the Pro Shop remain OPEN. There is however strict attendance and play rules that must be adhered to for the safety of members, guests, staff and volunteers as follows -
- If you are sick or unwell – stay home and use the phone to contact us.
- Hygiene is of paramount importance, please follow all procedures before, during and after play.
- Only 3 people are permitted inside the Pro Shop at any one time, please check this before entering and stay outside until it’s clear to enter.
- There will be no cash transactions available, eftpos/card payments only.
- Golf groups are restricted to “3 people” per group, this includes caddy’s and non-players. We ask members currently booked into play this week, to logon and adjust your tee groups accordingly. The system will automatically cut off the 4th player option on Tuesday night.
- Golf tee times will be allocated at 10 minute intervals.
- Members and guests playing golf will require a booking time. Please do not just turn up. Bookings for competitions are online as normal and all social play through the Pro Shop.
- Players are asked to arrive on time and leave promptly after your game
ON THE GOLF COURSE
- Players/people are to exercise a 2-metre radius from each other.
- Flags have been removed, a course map highlighting the approximate pin position for each hole is available from the Pro Shop.
- Rakes have been removed from bunkers, please smooth your disturbances using your feet, local rule of “preferred lie” in bunkers is now in place.
- Players will mark their own score cards and verbally confirm scores with their marker for each hole.
- Golf Carts can only carry one person, whether this be a personal cart or hire cart from the Pro Shop. A reduced hire rate has been created to ease the costs of hire carts. Preference on allocations to those of most need.
- Ball washers and drinking fountains are not to be used. Please ensure you have enough water before play.
- Cards to be returned in the letter box slot on the front Pro Shop wall.
