PodCo Clinic is still open for business

We understand that everyone is being overwhelmed by updates and information at this stage so we will keep this one brief and to the point.

This is as it stands for PodCo Podiatry and our patients as of 24th March 2020:
 

• All allied health clinics, which includes podiatry and osteopathy, are to remain open and continue to treat patients

• We are continuing to keep the reception area and treatment room clean and sanitised as advised by the Department of Health 

• Practitioners and reception staff are in the process of completing the Department of Health Infection Control training in order to be sure we are co-ordinated in our procedures and in line with governmental mandate

• The reception area has been adjusted in keeping with instructions on social distancing with waiting chairs kept at least 1.5m apart 

• We are only able to have four people in reception at any one time - please keep this in mind if you come with multiple family members, we may ask that additional people wait in their cars

• We are only allowed two people in the treatment room at any one time. Again, please be aware of this

• As mentioned in the last message, please feel free to wait for your appointment in your car - just let reception know when you have arrived and they will contact you when your practitioner is ready to see you

• Reduced clinic hours / days - we are expecting a natural drop in patient numbers so we may need to reduce the hours that the clinic is open. We will try and make it so that those of you who are still working have a chance to be seen. Any changes to hours will be published on our Facebook page, our website and in email updates

• Aligning with changes to clinical open hours, we will introduce home visits or video / phone conferencing for those who have to be isolated due to high risk; that is the elderly (anyone over 70 years of age) and those with multiple health issues. If you know someone who requires care but cannot make it to the clinic, please get in touch to discuss your options
